Sergeant Travis McKinney was on patrol in the 300 block of East Ohio Street when he made a traffic stop on a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse for a traffic violation. Officers Lance Canterbury and Robert Morningstar arrived on the scene to assist. Officer Morningstar and his canine partner, Harry, conducted a free air search of the vehicle’s exterior. Harry alerted to the vehicle. The passenger, identified as Randy Jenkins (57), was searched and found to have approximately 4 grams of suspected Crack Cocaine along with over $1700 in cash.
Randy was placed under arrest and transported to the Pickaway County Jail. He is charged with Trafficking in Cocaine (F-4) and Possession of Cocaine (F-5). He is held pending his initial appearance in Circleville Municipal Court.
