… WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST TODAY…
* LOCATIONS… SOUTHEAST INDIANA… NORTHERN KENTUCKY AND SOUTHERN OHIO.
* HAZARD TYPES… ACCUMULATING SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.
* ACCUMULATIONS… SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE LESS THAN AN INCH TODAY. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES.
* WINDS… WEST 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.
*TEMPERATURES… TEMPERATURES THIS MORNING WILL BE IN THE 12 TO 18 DEGREE RANGE. THESE READINGS ALONG WITH THE WIND WILL PRODUCE WIND CHILL VALUES OF ZERO TO 5 BELOW.
* TIMING… SNOW SHOWERS EARLY THIS MORNING WILL BECOME SCATTERED IN NATURE DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS OF FRIDAY MORNING. SNOW SHOWERS WILL TAPER OFF BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
* IMPACTS… SLICK SPOTS CAN BE EXPECTED ON UNTREATED ROADWAYS. TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING COMMUTE DUE TO ACCUMULATING SNOW. IN ADDITION… GUSTY WINDS WILL BLOW SNOW BACK OVER TREATED ROADWAYS AND CAUSE MORE SLIPPERY CONDITIONS. THE COMBINATION OF GUSTY WINDS AND SNOWFALL WILL RESULT IN REDUCED VISIBILITIES AS LOW AS A MILE AT TIMES.
