Williamsport – A single car accident occurred yesterday June 11, 2018 around 4:30pm. The driver of a 2008 Mercury Milan was heading Westbound on Crownover Road, when he slid on wet pavement on a heavy curve in the road. This caused Roland Redmon Of Circleville to lose control of his vehicle fishtail cross over the center line and down a embankment into a tree overlooking a ravine. The driver suffered injuries to his left side where the tree impacted the vehicle. Two passerby’s found Redmon trapped in the vehicle and called 911, they also got into the vehicle and spoke to Redmon, one suffered lacerations getting the vehicle door open.
Upon arrival to the scene Pic-A-Fay fire/rescuse from New Holland immediately had to secure the vehicle as it was on a steep embankment and only the tree that the vehicle struck was holding it from falling into a creekbed. After securing the vehicle the jaws of life and other life saving equipment was used effectively to free Redmon from the vehicle. Redmond was transported via life flight to Dayton.
According to Rusti Neff, Redmons sister, “He has a broken arm but is stable and going through surgery this morning. She asks for prayers for her baby brother and was happy and thanks god he was wearing his seatbelt.”
