COLUMBUS – The Whitehall Division of Police Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on Thursday, April 25th, 2019 stemming from an investigation into trafficking cocaine in and around the City of Whitehall.
Detectives seized 2500 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of heroin/fentanyl, 2 loaded handguns and $8,281 cash. The target of the investigation, Chezsirray Owensby, D.O.B. 9/20/84, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Cocaine(F-5), Possession of Cocaine(F-1) and Having Weapons Under Disability (F-3). The recovered cocaine has a street value of more than $200,000.
The Whitehall Police Department Narcotics Unit continues its fight against drugs in and around the community. “This was a large scale drug dealer whose drugs were making its way into the City of Whitehall. The City of Whitehall is a safer place with him in jail,” stated, Deputy Chief Tracy Sharpless.
