CHILLICOTHE – A manhunt is underway when a man took off from police at the Ross County Jail.
The man wasn’t incarcerated, he was a visitor according to Chillicothe Police. Around 1 pm Tuesday afternoon the man was caught trying to bring drugs into the RCI, when they attempted to detain him he took off on foot dumping his drugs on the ground on his way out of the area.
According to witnesses police were seen picking up drugs on the sidewalk and checking cars and around the building with a drug sniffing K9.
Police were seen heavily teaching the downtown Chillicothe area for the suspect. No word on if he was caught yet or not, we will keep you informed.
