WAVERLY – Waverly Police Chief Zachary Dixon reports that on Monday, July 8th, 2019, the Waverly Police Department executed a search warrant on G-Vapor and More, located at 201 E. Emmitt Avenue.
The search warrant was executed on early suspicions of the business trafficking in marijuana. Early investigations into this business revealed that employees are mixing oils themselves. Concern was raised that the customers may be receiving unknown substances in their purchased products.
Prior to obtaining and serving the search warrant, the Waverly Police Department made multiple undercover buys from this location. Further concerns were raised with the store’s close proximity to a local church, as well as a Recovery Council location.
Inside the store, officers located large amounts of items that are commonly associated with drug use, as well as large amounts of THC and CBD oils. In the state of Ohio, businesses are required to be an approved dispensary of THC and CBD.
All items seized from the search warrant will be sent to BCI for further testing. NO ARRESTS have been made at this time. Pending tests results from BCI, and upon confirmation of these test results, the Waverly Police Department will seek further action.
