OHIO – Urban Myer was born in Toledo Ohio in 1964, but grew up in Ashtabula Ohio. Myers went to University of Cincinnati where he played football as a defensive back. His dreams to become a football coach were realized in 2001 when he became coach for Bowling Green Falcons for a year, then he moved on to Utah, and then the Florida Gators where he took his team with Famous NFL star Tim Tebow to two Championship victories. Myer retired in 2009 but that was short lives and worked as a football analyst for ESPN. Myer wrote in his book that one of his dream football coach jobs was Ohio State, in 2012 Meyers succeeded Jim Tressel at Ohio State and led the Buckeyes to a Championship game.
Meyer is only one of three coaches to win a major College football national champion show in two different universities.
Meyer is 55 years old today.
