COLUMBUS – Union Negotiations with Columbus City Schools and CEA (Columbus Education Association) came to a agreement last night around 1:48 am.
Teachers threatened to strike soon if safety in the classrooms in the form of, smaller class sizes, more councilors, social workers, and nurses were not addressed.
“The Board of Education has reached a conceptual agreement on a new contract with CEA. CEA leadership will be finalizing the contract language for review and will be releasing information to its members in due course. The Board of Education is pleased with the work it has done in cooperation with CEA and looks forward to a great start to the school year.”
