CHILLICOTHE – The city of Chillicothe recently added a .25 cent feeder to the Yoctangee park aimed at a self sustaining system of cost for feed and for repairs to the equipment. The feed is for the geese, ducks and swans that live most of the year inside the park.
The park located at 156 Enderlin Circle is 48 acres located downtown adjacent to the Historic First Capital District. The park has both recreational and passive enjoyment one of those passive enjoyments is sitting on the pond and feeding the wildlife. The park is so important that
Unioto High School French IV class raised the funds necessary for this addition to the park.
Do you think this would be a good addition to Pickaway’s Hargus Lake?
Yoctangee Park is also home to the restored Municipal Water Plant built in 1882, which now serves as the Pump House Center for the Arts.
