USA – Who doesn’t remember the Ice Bucket Challenge a social media campaign involving donating money to ALS research and filming themselves pouring ice water over their heads, then challenging others to do the same. To date the challenge after going viral has raised 200 million globally according to reports.
The man Peter Frates, a star massachusettes baseball player who had to retire after being diganosed with ALS died today Monday December 5, 2019 at 33 year old. Frates dream was to play for the MLB he got close, playing at Boston College and then in Europe before being diagnosed at 27.
To this date there is no cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
