On Thursday December 19, 2019 at 0002 hrs this deputy was
sent to the Goody Nook at 2512 US RT 22 W (Circleville,
Wayne Twp) for an activated commercial burglary alarm with
motion detected in the garage. Deputy also responded
and arrived before I did. Upon arrival at 0007, I met with
Deputy as he finished checking the exterior of the gas
station and attached auto repair shop. No signs of theft or
forced (or attempted) entry was observed. We cleared the
scene.

On Thursday December 19, 2019 at 0044 hrs this deputy was
sent to the area of Paul Revere Rd (Orient, Scioto Twp)
regarding an occupied suspicious vehicle in the alley rear of
this location. The caller observed the vehicle with three
occupants while walking her dog. Upon arrival at 0058 hrs I
did not locate anything near this address. I checked the
surrounding areas for a similar vehicle and did not locate one.

On 12-19-2019 at 0128 hours, this unit was dispatched to
Buffalo Wild Wings for a reported alarm drop. The activation
was coming from the kitchen. Upon my arrival I observed that
the business was closed. I checked all doors and everything
was secure. This unit cleared with no further information.

On Thursday December 19, 2019 at 0217 hrs Sgt. Eveland
and I were sent to Yankeetown Pike at State Park Road 20
(Mt. Sterling, Monroe Twp) on a report of a suspicious person.
Dispatch advised the caller reported a female dressed in all
black, wearing sunglasses, and talking on a cell phone was
near this intersection. Upon arrival at 0234, I checked the
area’s of Yankeetown Pike from Whiteside Road to Jones
Road, and the entirety of State Park Road 20. No one was
found outside.

December 19th, 2019 at 03:24 hours, this unit was dispatched
to State Route 674 south of Duvall Road on report of a single
vehicle non injury accident. This unit arrived on scene at
03:27 hours and met with Deputy of Fairfield County
Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Webb advised the accident occurred
at 1664 Winchester Southern Road and that Fairfield County
was the jurisdictional department. This unit cleared the scene
at 03:41 hours.

On December 19, 2019 at 0753hrs. this unit, Deputy,
was dispatched to the area of Duvall Road on well being
check. Dispatch advised the caller stated an elderly female
was driving a silver Grand Prix at a slow rate of speed and
was all over the roadway then pulled off the roadway in the
above mentioned area. I patrolled the area of Duvall Road
from SR 762 to Walnut Creek Pike and did not locate the
vehicle. I also checked Walnut Creek Pike to St. Paul Rd. to
Lancaster Road and did not locate the vehicle.
This unit cleared with nothing further.

On 12-19-2019 at 0933 hours, I was dispatched to the lobby
of the Sheriff’s Office on a complaint on a person. I made
contact with the caller, who advised he was
helping his mother sell some items she no longer has any use
for. He advised he was selling a go-cart online for $1200.
He advised someone sent him a text wanting to buy it. He
advised this unknown male would send a check in the mail for
him to cash. The Man advised this male identified himself as,
“Mr. Michael”, and he showed me a text where Mr. Michael
was sending a check for $3000. When asked why so much,
and Mr. Michael advised the extra was for shipping. When
he received the check, 12-18-2019, he stated he could tell
the check was fraudulent, his bank confirmed and he later
brought it to the Sheriff’s Office. He wanted it turned over
to us, hoping they might get caught and hoping no one else
gets scammed. After gathering the information, I later cleared
the scene.

On 12-19-2019 at 1013 hours, this unit was patrolling the area
of SR-104 when I saw there was a black Honda
Accord still in the driveway of the residence where
I had taken a complaint on a vehicle report on 11-29-2019. The vehicle was moved by the residents to get the vehicle completely off the driveway at some point. The vehicle does have 2 flat tires from sitting here unattended.
Licking County attempted to make contact with the registered
owner on 11-29-2019 but they were unable to locate the
owner. The vehicle has been abandoned for more than three
weeks.
The vehicle was towed by A&J Towing to be held until a
citation could be issued to the registered owner for
abandoning the vehicle on private property. Nothing further to
report at this time.

188 on a 911 hang up. I checked around the house, knocked
on 2 different doors. No contact was made and everything
seemed to be fine. I later cleared the scene with no further

On 12-19-19 this unit was dispatched to Walmart to contact
Loss Prevention Officer. They stated that they
have been having several push outs over the last few weeks.
They are pushing the fence out in the lawn and garden area
and taking merchandise out that way. They have been
parking by the storage trailers by the lawn and garden area.
While checking the area they came across a small baggie
with red plastic around the top. She was not sure what it was.
I looked at the baggie and could see that there was the top of
several shotgun shells inside. There was a make shift wick
made out of paper extending to the top of the bag. I could see
that someone had tried to burn the paper. The red plastic
around the top was two shotgun shell cases that had been
emptied out. I opened the bag and found that someone had
filled the baggie with gun powder from the shells and dropped
the casings inside.
I took pictures of the baggie. The powder was dumped out
and the casings were placed in a trashcan.

cancel. Everything was ok at the house.

On 12-19-2019 at 1816 Hrs. this unit was dispatched to
S R 316 on a reported suspicious person and vehicle parked
near the property. Upon my arrival this unit located a man who was getting picked up from bow hunting on
the neighboring property. This unit found that he had
permission to hunt at this location. This unit cleared the
scene with no further incident.

Rd on a car in the ditch. I checked the vehicle which was just
off the roadway. There was no damage to the vehicle or
property. The vehicle appears to be disabled. I checked the
roadway into the city and did not see anyone walking. The car
was not a traffic hazard and was left along the roadway.
