PICKAWAY – The Teays Valley Educational Foundation awarded a $2,000 grant to Teays Valley West Middle School sixth grade language arts teachers Emily Steele and Madison Wolfe to purchase books for students to read in pairs. This will allow students to choose from a variety of books to pick titles that are of interest to them.
“The 6th grade language arts teachers want to thank the Teays Valley Education Foundation for awarding us with this grant. The books purchased with this money will go towards building book clubs for our students throughout the current unit,” Steele said. “Students will get to choose their book clubs based on their interests in the various authors we have been studying. We want to thank the foundation for helping us provide our students with many wonderful books to choose from.”
