Chillicothe Police Seize Baggies of Drugs in Traffic Stop, Make Arrest

CHILLICOTHE – Chillicothe Police was able to stop a individual that was mentioned in tips for trafficking in drugs.

On patrol on 02/20/2020 Chillicothe Officer was on patrol on N High St at Orange St, the officer observed a white 2015 Honda Civic traveling Southbound. The officer observed the driver who has recently been mentioned in tips for trafficking in narcotics.


The officer stopped the vehicle before Vine St on Allen Ave. When the officer approached the car he met with two individuals driver Jimmy Clark and a female passenger who were eating Burger King food and drinks were in the console.

Clark told the officer he did not have a valid drivers license, and the officer deployed the drug detecting K9, K9 Tobi, as their information was verified through Dispatch. Tobi indicated on the passenger side by sitting to a narcotic odor he was
trained to detect.

When Clark was asked to step out of the vehicle, he turned towards the console area showing his back trying to conceal something.

When police searched the vehicle and Clark they found a black pouch, finding 2 clear knotted bags of white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine and another clear knotted bag of off white powder, believed to be heroin/fentanyl. The field weight of the suspected methamphetamine was 8.09 grams and 8.18 grams. The suspected heroin was a field weight of 15.08 grams. A search of the vehicle yielded a Crown Royal cloth bag with cash and rolled coins. Inside a Burger King bag was a black zipper pouch, found to contain 2 clear knotted bags of white crystalline substance with a field weight of 4.6 grams and 3.38
grams. Clark was found to have 1.65 grams of suspected marijuana also on his body.

Clark admitted to possession of the drugs when questioned and was placed under arrest.

The suspected marijuana had a field weight of 1.65 grams. The total weight of methamphetamine was approx 24.25 grams.

Clark was served a notice of forfeiture for the money and vehicle along with a traffic citation for the stop sign violation and DUS – Child support. He was transported to the RCJ, charging F2 Possession of Drugs – Methamphetamine and F2 Possession of Drugs – Heroin. He was assigned a court date of 02-21-2020 at 0900hrs in the Chillicothe Municipal Court and
was left in the custody of the RCJ held on no bond pending court appearance.

The suspected narcotics were sent  to BCI to be analyzed. Investigation continues.
