PICKAWAY – On May 21, 2020 Sofidel Corporation of Pickaway donated a huge stockpile of toilet paper to area retirement communities.
According to Bobbie Barns admissions/Marking of Logan Elm Health care the company contacted them asking if they had need.
“They wanted to know if we had what we needed to take care of the seniors in the home, when we told them we were in need they showed up the next day with two truckloads!”
On social media Logan Elm said, “A huge THANK YOU to Sofidel for their very kind and thoughtful donation!!!! We sincerely appreciate the local support of our community business partners!”
Sofidel donated 100 24 packs of toilet paper to this facility alone they said they were going to make their way around to other facilities
Luigi Lazzareschi, Sofidel CEO in a interview with Sciotopost said how Pickaway County workers are, “more hungry and more focused employees than they have in other plants they operate. They seem more motivated and more engaged than most employees they have dealt with.”
In an international article he talks about how important the Circleville location is, and plans for expansion from the 300 employee plant to a 700 employee plant in 2021. Lazzareschi during the interview talked about wanting to produce a private label and that Circleville was pivotal for that.
U.S. Senator Rob Portman visited Sofidel late last year and said what a amazing plant for Ohio.
Sofidel CEO also talks about needed to expand in the area with, “innovative technology, proximity to markets, and sustainability.”
