According to Sheriff Robert B. Radcliff, on September 16, 2020 at approximately 12:06A.M. the Pickaway County Communications Center received a call of a possible burglary in progress at 11831
London Road Orient, Ohio. Sgt Kyle Eveland and his K9 partner Edguy, Cpl Brooke Cano, Deputy Joseph Hugus and Deputy Clark Kreager responded to the scene.

Once the Deputies arrived on scene, they were advised by Dispatchers that the subjects were in the detached garage. The Deputies entered the garage and did not locate anyone at first, but heard footsteps coming from the loft, above the garage. Sgt Eveland gave verbal command to come down from the loft. At that time 38-year-old Justin Schwalbauch came walking down the stairs and was taken into custody. Sgt Eveland gave more verbal commands to come down and after no one else complied he and his K9 partner Edguy went up to the loft and located 36-year-old Charles Neff hiding under a pile of clothes. Charles Neff was quickly taken into custody.

Upon investigation into the situation, 11831 London Road Orient, Ohio is a former residence of Charles Neff. A residence that he had been evicted from.

Cpl Cano transported Justin Schwalbauch to the Pickaway County Jail where he was charged with Breaking and Entering a Felony of the fifth degree and Criminal Trespassing a Misdemeanor of the first degree. Mr. Schwalbauch also had outstanding warrants for his arrest from Grove City Police Department and Madison County. Deputy Hugus transported Charles Neff to the Pickaway County Jail where he was charged with Breaking and Entering a Felony of the fifth degree and Criminal Trespassing a Misdemeanor of the first degree. Mr. Neff also had outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Logan County.

Both Schwalbauch and Neff will have their initial arraignment in the Circleville Municipal Court Wednesday September 16, 2020.
