October 9, 2020
A Blosser Rd. resident reported to deputies that their medication may have been stolen. The complainant later told deputies that the medication had been located.

October 10, 2020
Deputies responded to a Stump Run Rd. residence for a trespassing complaint. After investigating the matter, deputies determined it to be an ongoing civil issue between neighbors and the alleged trespassers were a survey crew.

An Adams Ave. resident told deputies that they allowed an acquaintance to use their cell phone. The acquaintance then used an app on the phone to transfer money from their bank account to theirs. Deputies are waiting on bank records before filing any charges.

Deputies responded to a Pleasant Valley Rd. residence for a possible burglary in progress. The complainant told deputies that they heard a vehicle pull into the neighbor’s driveway and knowing they were gone, went to investigate. After confronting the three occupants in a charcoal gray vehicle, the complainant told deputies that one occupant, possibly a Hispanic male, exited the suspect vehicle and pointed a firearm at them. The complainants fled and the vehicle fled down Pleasant Valley toward SR 180. At this time no entry was believed to have been gained in the residence.

October 11, 2020
Deputies responded to a Jack Run Rd. residence for a domestic violence complaint. After investigating the matter, deputies found that no violence had occurred, but issued an outstanding protection order to Austin L. Dingess, 21, Marion. Deputies also found Dingess had an outstanding warrant from Fairfield County. Dingess was arrested and turning over to Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office.

October 12, 2020
Deputies responded to a Carbon Hill-Buchtel Rd. residence for a firearms complaint. Deputies learned that a juvenile had been given a handgun by a neighbor. Deputies seized the firearm and the investigation is ongoing.

Deputies responded to a Walnut Dowler Rd. residence for a violation of a protection order. After investigation, deputies filed for a warrant for the suspect.

October 13, 2020
A Purdum Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to report that a juvenile had been forced to use drugs. The case remains under investigation.

Deputies responded to a burglar alarm at an Elm St. residence. Deputies found no signs of forced entry.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 33 near the Fairfield County line for a registration violation. While on the traffic stop, deputies found one occupant, Dustin J. Winchell, 25, Lancaster had an active warrant from Logan Police. Winchell was arrested and turned over to Logan PD. Another occupant, initially provided deputies with a false identity, but was later identified as Jackie L. Braglin, 38, Lancaster who had an active Burglary warrant from our office. Braglin was also found with suspected methamphetamine, which she tried to dispose of in the back of the deputies cruisier. Additional charges for possession of methamphetamine and tampering with evidence will likely be filed after the analysis of the suspected drugs are completed by the BCI crime lab. Braglin was transported to the SEORJ.

Deputies responded to a First St. Carbon Hill residence to assist HCEMS with a drug overdose. HCEMS transported to HVCH for treatment.

October 14, 2020
Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Cherry Crest Dr. residence. After investigation, deputies arrested Angela J. Blake, 50, Logan for Domestic Violence and Assault. Blake was transported to the SEORJ.
