Deputies received a complaint of a license plate from a Union Furnace resident. The license plate was entered into NCIC and the victim was told to contact the Ohio BMV for replacement of the plates.

A New Lexington resident was selling merchandise at the Hocking Hills Flea Market reported that they were a victim of a scam. The victim told deputies that a person scammed a worker for merchandise by creating a false Facebook Pay application on their phone. It appeared that payment had been made when it had not. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies responded to a SR 328 residence for an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle complaint. The complainant told deputies that a relative had not returned the vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered in Perry County and the complainant declined charges.

Deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a Main St. Union Furnace residence. After investigation, deputies issued disorderly conduct warnings to both parties for the argument and the parties agreed to separate.

Deputies responded to a natural death at a Devore Rd. residence.

Deputies responded to a Maysville-Williams Rd. residence for a burglary complaint. The complaint told deputies that someone entered the residence by prying a door. The case remains under investigation.

Deputies responded to a Morning Dr. residence for a juvenile that had ran away. The juvenile had been found by the time the deputies had arrived. The juvenile was in the custody of a babysitter and was missing their mother.

Deputies responded to a SR 328 residence for a breaking and entering complaint. The complainant told deputies that someone had entered a shed and stolen a Stihl chainsaw, but left the case behind.

Deputies responded to a domestic argument at a Hayden Place apartment. No violence occurred and no charges were filed.

Deputies responded to a Columbus St. Murray City residence for a criminal damaging complaint. The complainant told deputies that someone had shot the windshield of their vehicle with a bb gun.

Deputies responded to a domestic violence complaint at a Roosevelt Rd. residence. When deputies arrived, the suspect was alleged to be inside residence barricading their self in a bedroom with a handgun. Deputies were able to take the person into custody without incident. A handgun was recovered. The suspect was transported for mental health treatment. Charges for Domestic Violence and Assault are pending.
