PICKAWAY – Pickaway county Library will host on November 14th at 3 pm a event to help kids learn about career paths they may have interests in.
During this virtual event, participants will be able to talk to a real-life welder, commercial carpenter, plumber and journeyman electrician to find out about opportunities in those fields.
The event will be virtual and hosted on Zoom. Participants will need to register in advance thru the library’s online calendar – https://tinyurl.com/y4x8v2ud.
Participants will be able to ask questions of the trades people. While originally targeted toward teens, this event is also open to adults who may be interested in a new career that does not require a college degree.
Welders averagely across the US can make over 116,000 dollars yearly, Union Carpenter up to 92,000 dollars in Ohio, and 72,000 for plumbers according to ziprecruiter.com
