Amanda Township – The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle fatal crash on Royalton Road just east of Amanda Northern Road in Fairfield County. The crash occurred on December 4, 2020 at approximately 2:30 PM.
Caleb Tiller, age 18, of Lancaster was traveling westbound on Royalton Road in a black 2005 Ford Freestyle when he traveled off of the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. Mr. Tiller was pronounced deceased on the scene.
A passenger, Hakim Washington, age 19, of Lancaster was transported to Fairfield Medical Center by Amanda Township EMS. A juvenile passenger was transported to Mount Carmel East hospital by Amanda Township EMS.
Troopers from the Lancaster Post of the Highway Patrol are investigating the crash. Members of the Amanda Township Fire Department, Bloom Township Fire Department, Fairfield County Engineers Office and the Licking Coroner’s Office were on scene to assist. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
