OHIO – Franklin County Sheriff is warning of a trick after Christmas that thieves do to go shopping for your new items.
Empty boxes discarded in the trash the week after Christmas can tell thieves what you have for new items inside your home and that may lead to a break-in according to the Sheriff’s office.
What’s best to break down the boxes and make an effort to hide the new gift boxes before they are thrown away.
“It is a small thing you can do to lessen the chance of being burglarized,” the sheriff said.
