NELSONVILLE – One man is behind bars after getting caught behind the wheel of a stolen car out of Athens County last night.
According to Nelsonville police, around 10:22 PM on 1/28/2021 while on patrol Officers recognized a vehicle with an active BOLO. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Athens County. Officers performed a vehicle stop on E Canal St and detained a male suspect at gunpoint.
Tyler Brown was arrested and transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. Brown has been charged with two counts of petty theft, theft, and receiving stolen property and is being held on a 5055.00 bond.
