BREATHITT, Ky. – One person has died after crashing his single-engine plane in Breathitt county in Kentucky on Monday.
According to Kentucky State Police the crash took place near the intersection of Highway 1812 and Highway 378 area in a field close to the highway.
Timothy Michael Pankiewicz, 62, of Green Cove Springs, Florida has been identified as the single occupant of the plane.
According to the post the flight started in Florida with a destination of Ohio
When the plane crashed it burst into flames there were no surviors.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
