CHILLICOTHE – The Chillicothe Police Department had a busy Friday with a few reported thefts from Walmart, possible overdose deaths and three reported car thefts so far this weekend.
According to Chillicothe Police reports an almost daily report comes from Walmart on Bridge Street of theft of some sort. Three reports on Saturday,
On 6/26/21 police were dispatched to Walmart on N. Bridge in reference to a Theft. The investigation is ongoing at this time on that theft, but just hours later police arrested Heath Moore for the second attempt of theft.
Car theft has also become somewhat common and three thefts of cars occurred over the weekend so far.
The first reported car theft sent officers to an address on E. 5th street on Friday at 4:00A.M. That investigation is still ongoing.
The 2nd reported car theft occurred at another address on E. 5th street at nearly 1:30 P.M on the same day, and according to the report, the incident is also still being investigated.
The third report of stolen vehicles occurred overnight Saturday but the owner reported it on Sunday
On 6/26/2021 police were dispatched to 144 E. 4th St. in reference to a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, the owner advised that his 2007 white Ford Focus was stolen the night prior between the hours of 2040 and 0700. There are no current leads. Investigation pending.
