CIRCLEVILLE – Finding a missing Ross County Girl wasn’t the only thing Circleville Police and Circleville Municipal Court Probation did today.
Around 10 am this morning Circleville Police department along with the Circleville Probation department attempted to take into custody a man who was wanted in a probation violation. The man fled from law enforcement and left the scene in a vehicle.
During the chase on Main street, to Scioto, onto Union, and Huston streets the man pushed a female family member out the passenger side door and then continued to flee police. Law Enforcement terminated the chase due to congested roadways, speed, and identification of the suspect. They sent out a BOLO (Be on the lookout) for the model and license plate of the vehicle.
Southern agencies were notified including United States Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team aka S.O.F.A.S.T. They located the suspect in Ross county and contacted Circleville law enforcement. In a mutual effort, Circleville Police Detectives and Circleville Probation Officers assisted in the arrest on Western Avenue in Chillicothe.
Jacob Carroll was arrested in Chillicothe and jailed on multiple charges. Circleville Police also charged Carroll with Abduction, Felonious Assault, and Failure to Comply.
