CIRCLEVILLE – A man was arrested after attempting to abduct a female and her children. Circleville police charged him with several counts of abduction but, now he has pleaded guilty to lesser charges but will see several years in prison
According to police, on June 15, 2021, a male approached a female that had two small children with her in the 400 Block of South Pickaway Street. The male was in a white 4 door vehicle and used the vehicle to block the female and juveniles in on the sidewalk and attempted to get them into the vehicle.
The female and children were able to get to a residence and call the Police. The vehicle was later located on Logan Street and it was discovered the vehicle had been stolen from the Pilot gas station on US RT 23 earlier on June 15, 2021.
A male named Wesley Stallworth was located in the 100 block of Logan Street and he matched the description given to Officers of the male that was driving the white 4 door vehicle. Upon searching Wesley, car keys were located in his pocket and the keys were discovered to belong to the stolen vehicle.
In Pickaway County Court of Common Pleas this week Stallworth pleaded guilty to Receiving Stolen property and Inducing Panic. He was sentenced to 36 months in prison for his crimes.
Wesley also had a warrant for his arrest from Yellow Springs Ohio and from Ohio Adult Parole Authority also, he will face those charges also.
