CIRCLEVILLE – Circleville Council spoke of legislation on Tuesday that assesses some properties for the cutting of weeds and abatement of nuisances in the city that came to around 8,500 dollars.
“One property, in particular, was almost half of the total cost,” said Circleville Councilwoman Katie Hedges., “That lot is just North of Sheetz and a very large portion of this.”
The property she was talking about is a known homeless encampment area, and most of the clean-up has to do with refuge left from that situation.
The legislation would allow the city to go in and clean up the nuisance areas and then bill the property owners for the clean-up.
