ROSS – Ross County engineers and Ohio department of transportation are promising a replacement of a bridge that has passed its prime.
It is proposed to replace the structure on SR 138 at the 10.38-mile mark in Ross County, Ohio. The project is located in a rural area of Concord Township.
The existing structure is a three-span continuous concrete slab on capped pile piers and capped pile abutments. The structure was built in 1957. The new structure will be three-span reinforced concrete slab on capped pile piers and capped pile abutments.
The project will not require new right-of-way.
No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.
The roadway will be open for the duration of the project.
The funding for the project is 80% Federal and 20% Local.
The environmental commitment date is 2/1/2022. The project is currently expected to be awarded 10/1/2022.
