The Commercial Point officer stated that they were eastbound on SR 762 just passing 104. The sheriff’s department was close to the intersection of U S 23 and S R 762. This unit then got in behind the Commercial Point officer and was traveling east at a speed of around 90
mph. Cpl. Robert Morningstar was set up just east of our location and had thrown out his stop sticks. The suspect vehicle ran over the spike strips, and two of the Commercial point patrol vehicles also ran over the spike strips resulting in both of the Commercial Point patrol vehicles stopping to pursue the suspect vehicle.
