CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO – OhioHealth Berger Hospital is excited to welcome Casey Liddy, MHA, FACHE as Interim President. Liddy will be responsible for hospital operations, strategic direction, future development and community healthcare services for Berger, serving the Pickaway County and Ross County communities. As Interim President, Liddy will build upon the foundation established by previous Berger leaders to continue growing the hospital and furthering the level care it provides to the community.
While his first official day was February 6, we are pleased to provide Liddy’s answers to the following questions regarding his extensive experience in healthcare and his goals for Berger’s future.
Q: What is your history in healthcare?
A: I started my career in hospital administration more than 20 years ago after completing my master’s in health administration. Over my career, I have worked in nursing, business development, analytics and strategic planning, all in support of clinical teams. Additionally, I’ve spent the last five years working closely with physician leaders in practice management, supporting service line program expansion in support of our local communities across Ohio.
Q: What is your history with OhioHealth?
A: I have been a member of the OhioHealth family for more than five years. Formerly, I led operations for heart and vascular, neuroscience and oncology service lines which supported OhioHealth Berger Hospital’s strategic growth and delivered new services to our community.
Q: What do you hope to achieve in your first year at Berger?
We have an excellent leadership team and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. When you look at the work this team has done, it’s outstanding. There is so much to be proud of. I will continue the good work our leadership team has achieved across our balanced score card, and I look forward to leading our team as we build upon those achievements. I’m confident we’ll continue to make great strides and improvements in the services we provide the community in the years to come.
Q: As a new leader, what will your message to the community be?
A: I am looking forward to connecting with our community leaders who continue to provide phenomenal support to us. I can already feel the love and pride our associates have in both Berger and Pickaway County. The partnership between the hospital and the community has opened doors for so many achievements, and I look forward to helping build upon this legacy.
Liddy has already begun transitioning to the role in partnership with Berger leadership and will officially assume the position of Interim President on Feb. 6.
“I am passionate about representing Berger within the community and the OhioHealth system,” said Liddy. “My experience over the last five years at OhioHealth has allowed me to build relationships across our system that will remain strong as we work together to achieve our goals at Berger.”
