Circleville – A local Pizza shop closed over the weekend and performed a clean-up after a complaint from a customer went viral. Pickaway Health department also received a complaint from the customer and did an inspection.

On Friday, February 10, 2023, a woman contacted the store and lodged a complaint about food that she received from the location, she then called the corporate office and Pickaway county Health department.

Christie’s Corporate called the woman back the next day and immediately closed the location and did a full clean and remediation. They posted on social media that, “Our Circleville location will be closed for the remainder of the day. We will announce when it has been reopened. We thank you for your patience and understanding.”

The location reopened on Sunday for regular operations.

On Monday, Pickaway County Health Department did a complaint inspection of the restaurant. In the report, the Health Department did not find any violations in the location.

On the Health department website, Christys was inspected by the local health department three times in 2022, twice in 2021, and three times in 2019. The data for the location goes back to 2014 and since then the location has had really minimal violations to the location.

Most violations were corrected during the inspection and involved the packaging of items properly and some minor cleaning issues.
