Gallia County Sheriff Matt Champlin has released a statement regarding a shooting which occurred at the Gallia Metropolitan Estates housing complex on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
“At approximately 8:31 p.m. on Tuesday evening, the Gallia County 911 Center received a call of a shooting at the Gallia Metropolitan Estates housing complex. When deputy’s arrived on scene, it was determined that one individual had sustained a gunshot wound. That individual was transported from the scene to receive medical attention. One person of interest has been detained and the investigation is ongoing at this time” stated Sheriff Champlin
