CHILLICOTHE – A Chillicothe Moving truck rental company filed a police report yesterday after attempting to get a vehicle back after it was rented.
According to the Chillicothe police department, they were contacted by the rental company on North Bridge Street and were told that a man had rented a U-haul from them on 2/24/23 and was supposed to return it the next day, but when that day came and went. The manager explained that they sent a letter to the renter asking when he would return the van but there was no answer.
The manager was finally able to contact the man on the phone recently and explained that he had given the van to someone else to use and would bring the van back the next day, but he did not. Any further attempts to contact have gone unanswered.
The van was put into leads as stolen and if found could result in serious vehicle theft charges.
