Pickaway – Shortly after 6AM the Ohio State Highway Patrol spotted a pickup truck traveling North on US-23 that matched the description of a reported stolen vehicle from Kingston Pike in Circleville. When the trooper attempted to stop the truck, it fled traveling North. The chase reportedly lasted about 10 seconds, when it ended on Little Walnut Rd at Cromley Rd. When the suspect jumped from the vehicle and ran. A multi agency attempt to located the suspect was unsuccessful after an over hour long search.
Shortly after 11AM the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Dept received a call from a motorist traveling on US-23. The motorist was already familiar of the manhunt which took place earlier this morning. The caller reported a man walking in the field just off of US-23 that matched the description of the suspect.
Within moments South Bloomfield Police Dept was on the scene and made a positive ID. The suspect was arrested without incident and transported to the Pickaway County Jail.
