PICKAWAY – Local young artists are competing to find out who’s best in the show in the month of April at the local ArtsaRound Galley and you can help!
During the month of April, the ArtsaRound gallery is hosting a competition exhibiting art submitted by 5 Pickaway County high schools. (Teays Valley, Logan Elm, Circleville, Westfall, and New Hope) There are 168 entries. The entries have been judged by a panel of 3 judges (Jana Kent, Sheri Theis, and Shannon Bryant). Some awards have been presented, but there are two more competitions going on and that’s where you come into play.
One competition is for the individual artists and the other is for the school as a whole. Visitors to the gallery may vote for the school of their choice by depositing paper currency into the ballot boxes at the main floor desk. The money collected will go into a pool to provide cash prizes for the student winners. The more “voters”, the better the prizes for the winners at the end of the month.
The ArtsaRound Gallery is located at 135 West Main Street in Circlevillle. For the month of April, the gallery will be open the following extended hours, staff permitting: Mon – Fri: 4 – 7 PM Sat: 11 AM – 5 PM Sun: 1 – 4 PM
