Fairfield County – A man is in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle, now law enforcement is searching for the vehicle that left the scene.
According to the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Bureau, Deputies respond to a hit-skip injury crash [Hocking Township, Fairfield County, July 1, 2023, On July 1, 2023, at 10:56 pm, Patrol Deputies were dispatched to the 4400 block of Delmont Road in Hocking Township, Fairfield County Ohio, on a reported hit-skip injury crash.
The victim was retrieving personal effects from the roadway that had fallen from his vehicle when he was struck by a white in color Honda Civic or Accord. The man was listed in serious condition when medics arrived and was transported by Air evac to Grant Medical Hospital in serious condition.
Witnesses on the scene stated that the driver of the Honda continued traveling toward Hamburg Road and described the vehicle as an older model. Evidence recovered from the scene is consistent with damage to one of the headlight assemblies.
