Chillicothe — Yoctangee Park is well-lit for the season. I took several videos of it, as well as spoke to one of the sponsors of a Christmas tree at the gazebo.
Along with her husband Gary, Janet Griffith owned and operated “Skate-Away” on Western Avenue from 1980 until it closed in 2006. This year they sponsored one of the 50 trees in the “Holiday Tree Walk by the Lake” and used a theme of reminiscing about the roller skating rink – welcoming past skaters to add their touches to it.
She spoke about that, as well as her efforts on the city cabooses as a volunteer. Hear it all in the below interview videos.
