Chillicothe — Ross County is gearing up to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The Boston Tea Party was a key event leading up to the American Revolution, so representatives of the State Commission on the Ohio part of “America 250” visited the ship and crates of tea in First Presbyterian Church. (Hear more on the setup in another story.)

The Nathaniel Massie Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution are offering 35- to 40-minute guided tours of the Boston Tea Party setup that continue December 11th to 15th. Regent Terressa Reep and other volunteers explained the exhibit to representatives of “America 250 Ohio” Thursday.

Chris Hurtubise, Communications Director, and Taylor Tomu, Outreach and Engagement Specialist, represented America 250 for Ohio and filmed some promos of the Boston Tea Party effort.

Learn more in the below interview video, and my story on the Boston Tea Party setup.
