South Bloomfield – Local South Bloomfield Police Department says that another successful Toy drive event was because of local community effort.
“Needless to say the last few months have been filled with being at an increasingly busy department, coupled with the teamwork necessary to pull off an event like Topple the Truck successfully. It couldn’t have been done without the help of SBPD officers, Village Staff, local businesses, volunteers, and mostly the generosity of community members, far and wide. So, with that being said, the following business we wish to acknowledge and without who valuable assistance this event never could have been done. Tim Hortons of South Bloomfield Buckley Brothers Zanzis of Circleville McDonald’s of South Bloomfield Boy Scout troop 343 Sheetz WNCI 97.9 Kingston National Bank Lowerys Auro Repair (plus their sole donation of over 120 toys!) PICCA (Pickaway County Community Action) Speedway of South Bloomfield PJ’s Creations and Crafts Commercial Point Men’s Club Eastland Fairfield Career Center Ashville Cornhole League The Village of South Bloomfield Circle Printing Volunteers. Without their assistance this event would not have been anywhere near as successful. The following list is not all- encompassing so if we have forgotten someone, or even several, please believe it is not intentional,” said South Bloomfield.

In total the drive pulled in 1400 toys, nearly $900 in cash donations to PICCA. Those toys will be available for people in need at PICCA throughout the Christmas season.
