Dole Fresh Vegetables is recalling select salad kits due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious illness, especially in vulnerable individuals.
The recall involves Dole-, President’s Choice-, and Marketside-branded salad kits containing cheese supplied by Rizo-Lopez Foods, which has also recalled their cheese for potential Listeria presence.
No illnesses have been reported related to the recalled salad kits, but consumers are urged to check their refrigerators and freezers and discard any of the listed products immediately.
