Circleville, Ohio (February 15, 2024) – The Circleville Fire Department (CFD) capped off a busy and productive 2023 with their annual report, highlighting key achievements and improvements made throughout the year.
Responding to the Community:
- Total Runs: 4,605 (average 12.62 per day)
- EMS Runs: 3,448
- Fire Runs: 1,157
- Mutual Aid: Provided 738 times, received 113 times
- Personnel: 23 dedicated individuals, including the Chief
Investing in Infrastructure and Training:
- Station Upgrades:
- New roof after 21 years
- Repaired ceiling & walls in front office due to water damage
- Replaced 4 front apparatus bay doors & their operators
- Upgraded carpets with easier-to-clean laminate planks
- Enhanced Training:
- Members trained in Alabama, Florida, and Texas
- Acquired roof training simulator for safer and more frequent practice
- Celebrations:
- Resumed annual department family Christmas party (57 attendees)
- Recognized outstanding individuals:
- Firefighter/Paramedic Chance Diehl & Firefighter/EMT Brandon Thompson (co-Firefighters of the Year)
- Firefighter/EMT Joey Clark (EMT of the Year)

Moving Forward:
The CFD enters 2024 with a team of 23 committed individuals, equipped with improved facilities and enhanced skills. They remain dedicated to serving the Circleville community and responding to emergencies with professionalism and expertise. The fire department will welcome a new ladder truck in 2024 replacing an aged-out piece of equipment, that truck was mostly paid for by a Federal grant, not the taxpayers.
