Kentucky – In a collaborative effort between the United States Marshals and Martin County Sheriff John Kirk, a wanted fugitive from Ohio was apprehended Thursday afternoon in Inez, where he also faced additional charges for drug possession.
According to the Mountain Citizen Law enforcement officials successfully located and executed fugitive warrants on 39-year-old David Lee Perkins of Circleville, Ohio, around 2:30 p.m. at a residence situated on Turkey Creek Road in Inez. Perkins had been sought in Ohio on three counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a felony of the fourth degree.
Shortly after the arrest, Sheriff Kirk took Perkins into custody and charged him with first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Authorities discovered approximately 5-1/2 grams of methamphetamine in Perkins’ possession during the booking process at the Inez facility.
Following the arrest, Perkins was transported to a holding facility where he was then expedited back to Pickaway County where he is being held at the Sheriff’s Department. He is facing probation violations, along with domestic violence charges and three charges of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles
