FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH – A routine afternoon took a startling turn on April 19, 2024, when Fairfield Township Police responded to a distress call from AurGroup Credit Union, located at 3085 Creekside Drive, Fairfield Township, reporting a bank robbery.

According to reports from credit union employees, a white female suspect entered the premises and, brandishing a handgun, demanded money. In the ensuing investigation, Fairfield Township Police detectives and officers swiftly identified the suspect as 74-year-old Ann Mayers.

Mayers was located at her residence in the 1200-block of Parrish Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, along with the 2014 silver Hyundai Elantra she purportedly used as a getaway vehicle during the robbery. Without resistance, Mayers confessed to the crime and was taken into custody by law enforcement. Detectives secured evidence, including a handgun, from Mayers’ vehicle.
