CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – On April 28, 2024, law enforcement officers responded to a call at Sherman Park in Chillicothe, OH, reporting a male individual found unresponsive inside a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered Toban Byrd in an unconscious state while in control of a motor vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that Byrd was in possession of a Schedule I or II substance, indicative of drug possession. Additionally, it was determined that Byrd was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of substances.
Authorities also uncovered an active warrant for Byrd’s arrest issued by Scioto County. Consequently, Byrd was taken into custody for both the warrant and the offense of operating a vehicle while under the influence.
Byrd was subsequently cited for the aforementioned offenses and transferred to the Ross County Jail pending his appearance in court to address the warrant.
