COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 30, 2024 – The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) has disclosed the preliminary divisional breakdowns and regional tournament representation for the upcoming fall sports season. The OHSAA Board of Directors approved these allocations during its April board meeting.
These preliminary assignments are contingent upon the outcome of Referendum Issue 1B, the results of which will be announced on May 16. Should schools opt up to Division I as a result of the referendum, adjustments to divisional assignments and tournament representation may follow.
Girls and boys soccer will each expand to five divisions, while girls volleyball will now feature seven divisions. Divisional placements are determined based on school size, with the largest 64 schools assigned to Division I and subsequent divisions structured accordingly.
