Lancaster, Ohio – The Lancaster Police Department conducted an investigation on Monday, May 13, 2024, in response to a reported threat at the River Valley Mall.
Earlier today, the Lancaster Police Department received information from security personnel at the River Valley Mall indicating a potential threat to safety after a man called into the mall and threatened to, “shoot it up”. As a precautionary measure, the mall temporarily suspended operations.
Upon arrival at the mall, officers from the Lancaster Police Department found no signs of suspicious activity. After investigation subsequently, the suspect has been located and apprehended.
River Valley Mall management has confirmed that the mall will remain closed for the remainder of today’s business hours.
