In the 50,000-square-foot Goodwill facility just north of Chillicothe is a large warehouse / work area.
Chillicothe — The new Goodwill building just north of Chillicothe was the site for the Chamber’s monthly “Business After Business” on June 19th, 2024. After reading my report on the open house, here is a photo essay on the facility.
“Business After Business” in the “Break Area.” Marvin Jones (in blue), CEO of Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio addresses the gathering along with Mike Throne (in yellow), CEO of the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce – both also having been editors of the Chillicothe Gazette. The food was catered by BFI (Big Fat Italian)! Current and historical photos of Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio lined the halls. Sorting for the online store, ShopGoodwill.com. That’s a lot of books! Walking through about 3,500 square feet of sorting space. At the back dock is a compactor / shredder that can eat patio furniture. In the upper left are three white trailers for loading donations on-site. A mock store in in a corner of the warehouse where all trainees must spend a week here before moving on. The training kitchen……And training classroom. Raised beds make gardening easier for those in wheelchairs. The Conference Room, available for meetings at no cost.
