Chillicothe – Council had a unique visitor who wanted all of their their signatures.

Bill Diehl, a member of the Central Ohio “Sons of the American Revolution,” is collecting the ‘John Hancocks’ of local officials as part of an “America 250” project. He asked all the council members and city officers there to sign the back of a facsimile of the Declaration of Independence as part of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.

Diehl says it is a competition in among Sons of the American Revolution chapters, and that the winner will get the signature of the U.S. president added to his collection.

Diehl is the past president of the Benjamin Franklin Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, which covers five Central Ohio counties. He said he already had the signatures of more than 110 council members…and his first signature was Governor DeWine.

Hear him in his own words and see his collection in the below video interview.
