Update: Arrest Made After Shots Fired in Downtown Circleville

Early Saturday morning, on July 6, 2024, law enforcement responded to a report of shots fired in Downtown Circleville. At approximately 2:50 am, Pickaway County 911 received the call, prompting a swift response from Circleville police, Pickaway County Sheriff’s deputies, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

According to eyewitnesses, a man engaged in a dispute in a parking lot adjacent to the Main Street and Scioto North of the two bars in that area, the man brandished a firearm and discharged several rounds into the ground. The suspect, described as a black male wearing a grey shirt and jeans, fled the scene towards Scioto Street and the nearby train tracks.

After a 20-minute search, authorities located and apprehended the suspect on South Scioto Street past Mound Street. The arrested individual has been identified as 39-year-old Titus Dominique. He faces charges including discharge of a firearm and inducing panic, with the potential for additional charges pending further investigation.
