LANCASTER – The Lancaster Police Department proudly announces the recent addition of two new officers, Cole and Ryan Williams, both graduates of esteemed law enforcement academies. Their induction into the department marks a continuation of their family’s longstanding commitment to public service.
Sons of Detective Terry Williams, a revered member of the Lancaster Police force with over three decades of experience, Cole and Ryan bring a wealth of dedication and knowledge to their roles. Their maternal grandfather, Trooper Jack Wright (Ret.), who passed away in late 2023, retired after an illustrious 22-year career with the Ohio State Highway Patrol at the Lancaster Post #23.
“We are delighted to welcome Cole and Ryan Williams to our team,” expressed Lancaster Police in a statement. “Their decision to join our department underscores their deep-rooted commitment to serving our community, a tradition upheld by their family for generations.”
The Williams family’s legacy of service is celebrated throughout Lancaster, with Detective Terry Williams embodying the values of integrity and professionalism in his role. The addition of Cole and Ryan not only expands the department’s capabilities but also reinforces its dedication to public safety.
“We believe their training and dedication will greatly enhance our ability to protect and serve,” added the Chief. “Their decision to follow in the footsteps of their father and grandfather speaks volumes about their character and commitment to making a difference.”
As Cole and Ryan begin their careers with the Lancaster Police Department, the community eagerly anticipates their contributions to maintaining a safe and secure environment.
