A night of fun and entertainment at the Ross County Fair turned violent on August 10, 2024, when a fight broke out near the grandstands during the Demolition Derby. A deputy responded to the scene, where he found three individuals engaged in a physical altercation, surrounded by a crowd of approximately 10 others exhibiting disorderly behavior.
As the deputy attempted to restore order, he was met with resistance from the crowd, leading him to brandish his OC spray. After separating the parties involved, he began investigating the incident, speaking with multiple individuals, including Lacey Wilson, who had a bloody lip and appeared intoxicated.
Witness accounts and statements revealed a complex web of disputes and altercations, leading to the arrest of Lacey Wilson for disorderly intoxication and disorderly conduct. Two others were also charged with disorderly conduct for their roles in instigating and failing to break up the fight.
